The big pattern change Saturday will come in the West as a strong low pressure system slams into the Northwest from the Gulf of Alaska. This will be a fairly strong storm for this time of year, producing the strongest precipitation along its cold front as it smashes into western Washington and Oregon. The Cascades are set to receive the majority of the action before the front weakens farther inland. The storm will also provide breezy conditions along with cooler temperatures later in the weekend.
